Join the association
We recognise that recruitment of new members is essential if we are to be able to attend the large number of events that request our services each season. During the 2008/09 season we attended 304 events and undertook over 11,000 duties – quite an achievement for 127 active members.
We are actively looking to recruit new members in all areas of the country. Once you have registered your details with us, you will be invited on a one day training course where you will be taught the laws of badminton and have an opportunity to umpire and service judge both singles and doubles games. If you are then offered membership of the Association you will be assigned to a regional secretary who will become your main contact. You will also receive a copy of the Association’s Handbook and contact details for all of our members.
The regional secretary will invite you to events within the region and liaise with you about your availability for matches and tournaments.
